A big weekend of sport is coming your way 🍻 Saturday starts strong with 10+ EFL fixtures from 12:00pm, so there’s football on from the off. Rugby takes over through the afternoon as Gloucester face Leicester Tigers at 1pm, followed by Bristol Bears v Harlequins at 3:30pm 🏉 At 5pm, Scotland take on Japan in a key World Cup warm up, with Japan also set to face England on Tuesday, before Saracens v Northampton Saints at 6pm rounds off a top quality day. Sunday keeps it going with Sale Sharks v Bath Rugby at 3pm. Plus with the IPL running across both days as the season gets underway, there’s always something on. Get down early and make the most of it 🍺

Funny what you find when you start peeling back the layers… We’re having the cellar yard dug up and relaid, and it’s like a little archaeological dig down there. Years of history stacked one on top of another. These bricks we’ve uncovered, they look like old firebricks, which has me wondering what this space used to be. Something functional? Industrial? Or just clever reuse from somewhere else?? Makes you realise every pub has its own hidden story quietly sitting beneath the surface.
